Oscar News: 21 Films to Compete for Best Animated Feature

One of the first eligibility lists for the upcoming Academy Awards was released today. The 21 films competing for Best Animated Feature were announced. The rules of the Oscars state that at least 16 films need to be released theatrically for there to be 5 nominations. With the number at 21, there will be 5 nominees (unless some of them are declared ineligible for whatever reason, but even then it will still probably be at least 16.) Let’s take a look at the films. The director of the film is listed next to the title of the film.
