Critics Awards: AFI Top 10 & Washington D.C. Winners

While we’re still waiting for the Critics Choice nominations, two other groups announced today. The American Film Institute announced their Top 10 Films & Television Shows of the year. And the Washington D.C. Film Critics announced their winners. Nothing earth shattering happened though. The AFI list went with the usual suspects. The Dark Knight Rises was the only unique choice and that probably won’t get any Oscar nominations beyond the technical categories. Meanwhile, the Washington D.C. critics followed suit and awarded Zero Dark Thirty and Kathryn Bigelow top honors. Daniel Day-Lewis, Jessica Chastain & Anne Hathaway picked up more wins. Philip Seymour Hoffman was the only out of the ordinary choice in Supporting Actor.
